More mud

So much for being clean again…

P1000782Norbert, our Tanzanian field assistant, always laughs when I come in from the field covered in mud. He takes pictures each time, telling me that “when I write my book” I need to publish these photos to show people that “to get PhD, you must be THIS much mud!”

That’s an impressive amount of mud!

I’ve somehow convinced my husband to visit Tanzania this autumn! I’ve been looking for volunteer or shadowing opportunities in the field, but haven’t been able to find many legitimate ones with good reviews.

Do you or your colleagues have any favorite organizations with volunteer opportunities?

    Thanks for your help!

Awesome! I’m glad you’re going to have a chance to make it out here — it’s absolutely beautiful, and I know you’re going to love it.

Unfortunately, I don’t think there are so many opportunities for volunteering with research in Serengeti Park. There are numerous parks in Tazania (http://www.tanzaniaparks.com/) that might be worth looking into, though? Hope that helps!
